B. I. Friedlander, Ph.D., is the principal consultant in Venture Insights Group. He undertakes projects including the development and execution of strategies for domestic and foreign licensing for start-ups, small, and large companies. He carries out intellectual property valuations and assessments for commercial, tax, and litigation purposes. He presents licensing training programs, and he lectures frequently on licensing matters. He is an experienced expert witness on matters of damages, and reasonable royalties.
In addition to his technical and managerial experience with a large multi-national corporation, Dr. Friedlander has been involved in licensing for over 30 years. In 1992 he was president of the Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A. and Canada), Inc.. He has been a delegate to the Licensing Executives Society International, and was chairman of the Education Committee.
He is a chemical engineer with a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, and a registered Professional Engineer. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association Panel of Arbitrators, and co-editor of "The Law and Business of Licensing", Clark, Boardman, Callaghan publishers.
